Em (Elf)

Em (sometimes known as Elf) was inspired to create Weirdigans' precursor The Coffee Bean by the lack of hot drinks at Crickstock Festival 2002.
" We're not all beer monsters" and "my hands are cold" she complained. Then exclaimed - " It must never happen again! I'll provide tea and coffee for people like me from now on".
So she did - and persuaded Crickstock organiser Dave Brooks to join her in creating Weirdigans Organic Cafe.

A Jack-of-all-trades, Em has been on the festival circuit for nearly 20 years in various guises.

She's a medical herbalist and a would-be writer; she used to work in a beach bar in Thailand, but has more recently fulfilled her wanderlust exploring Northern Britain and Southern Europe.

Em has spent more time living in vans, tents and huts than in houses. The things that make her happiest are sunshine, campfires, books, long baths and good friends.
